About the role
We are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to lead a team of Maintenance Tradespersons in executing maintenance activities while ensuring asset management processes are consistently applied and work is performed in a safe and quality manner.
This role provides 24 hour breakdown support for the surface facilities and infrastructure. Reporting to the Operations & Maintenance Superintendent; you will be responsible for the following:
Leading maintenance tradespersons to execute maintenance activities and respond to equipment and facility problems.
Leading maintenance and operating personnel to ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures.
Developing and tracking maintenance schedules.
Planning, organizing, and allocating resources for scheduled work.
Ordering and tracking of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Collaborating closely with other functions in the performance of duties.
Contributing to continuous improvement and lowering costs by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement and innovation
To be successfully considered in this role, you will have:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Mechanical journeyman or equivalent
5+ years of experience in mining, with an emphasis on the mechanical O&M discipline
Minimum 5 years of relevant leadership experience
Technical knowledge in the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of:
Operation and maintenance of mobile equipment
Knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, and ASMI regulations
