Maintenance Superintendent (Electrical)

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Maintenance Superintendent (Electrical) to safely lead a team of electricians to deliver maintenance, operations and project activities. Accountable for embedding processes and systems, to risk manage current and optimize future assets.

What the role entails

This role is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career in this culture of continuous improvement and team work. Reporting to the Chief Electrical Engineer, you will be:

  • Leading (safety, performance and technical) a team of surface electricians.
  • Planning maintenance activities for the team.
  • Planning and monitoring safety performance for all activities, tasks and projects based on assessed hazards, identified critical risks and mitigating actions.
  • Optimizing electrical maintenance strategy for the site.
  • Leading major maintenance activities on critical electrical assets (including transformers, switchgear, substation, relays, motors and drives).
  • Engaging and performance management of contractors and suppliers.

What you will need for this role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Electrical background, with at least 10 years of experience (5 years with direct reports).
  • Experience with fixed plant heavy industry or mining equipment
  • Technical knowledge of instrumentation and power systems.
  • Experience with small project management and operational readiness processes.
  • Broad knowledge of electrical standards associated with mining.
  • Experience in maintenance and operation of electrical plant.

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Experience in maintenance planning, including SAP
  • Practical experience in commissioning and fault finding.
