We are looking for an Underground Maintenance Technician for the Resolution Copper Underground Operations and Maintenance Group, which is responsible for the safe maintenance and operation of the existing physical assets, consisting of a deep shaft, multiple mine levels and associated equipment and infrastructure.
What the role entails
This role is a great opportunity to be involved in the application of effective whole-of-life asset management practices to achieve ongoing safe maintenance and operation of existing physical assets. Reporting to the Maintenance Shift Leader, you will be:
Performing routine maintenance inspections on equipment and plant systems, both underground and surface, on a shift work basis
Supporting the shift mechanic by providing assistance with basic maintenance tasks
Assisting in identifying defects and providing feedback on asset performance
Performing ground control inspections and ground support rehabilitation work
Providing logistics support in the transportation of materials underground
What you will need for this role
To succeed in this role, you will have:
1-2 years of underground operations experience
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
Ability and commitment to work safely and intelligently
It will also be beneficial if you have:
MSHA underground mine rescue qualification
Experience in ground support installation, underground shaft operations, rail haulage operations, track repair, and underground mobile equipment operation
