We are looking for a Training Coordinator to be responsible for the HSE training system framework and execution. This entails tracking and controlling training records, notifications, coordinating training sessions and managing the Learning Management System (LMS).
At Rio Tinto we have operations across the globe including a range of open pit and underground mines that supply copper and diamonds. Our copper operations supply products in China, Japan and the US which plays an important role in almost every home, office and vehicle. We are also one of the world's leading diamond producers and the largest producer of natural colored diamonds.
What the role entails
This role is a great opportunity to join the Resolution Copper Project, which is seeking to develop one of the largest undeveloped Copper resources in the world. Reporting to the Manager - HSE, you will be:
Maintaining the Resolution Copper HSE Training Needs Analysis Matrix and Rio Tinto's Learning Management System
Scheduling, coordinating, and delivering training programs, preparing training compliance reports, and ensuring regulatory agencies receive requested information accurately and in a timely manner
Communicating with various levels of the organization as required to maintain training and compliance quality, status, expectations and performance
Ensuring that relevant versions of applicable controlled documents and training materials are available at point of use
Responding to inquiries regarding training and compliance processes, programs and employee requirements
What you will need for this role
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A high school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of prior relevant experience
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Proficient in Windows-based applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
